HAITI DISASTER RELIEF
Port-au-Prince, Haiti was struck by a 7.0 earthquake Tuesday afternoon. Most of the city has been destroyed and hundreds of thousands may have died in the quake. Many more could die in the coming weeks due to food and water shortage, disease, and lack of medial attention.

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) People to People Ministry has its largest work in this country, ministering to over 3000 children. The IPHC also has 37 churches in Haiti who need our assistance as they seek to minister to their nation. People to People Ministries are sending a team to Haiti this week to asses the situation and help with relief efforts. Other relief trips are already planned for March and June of 2010. The road to recovery will be long and difficult.
