Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom who shares a desire to be the very best mom they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children.

MOPS at VHM meets the first Tuesday of the month, Sept-May. Contact Suzie Roop or the church office for more information.

Celebrate Recovery
Hang-ups? Hurts? Habits? Got any that need changing? Then Celebrate Recovery is the place for you. Sam Shupe is the Men's Director. The group meets every Thursday night at 7:00 pm.

Celebrate Recovery is a nationally recognized 12 step program based on Biblical principles. Valley Harvest Ministries is a restoration church and we believe that the Bible applied to every hurt hangup and habit is the path to freedom.

Back to School Bash
New for the 2008-2009 School Year!
We thank God for our 2008 “Back to School Bash — sharing the love of Christ in our Community.”

On Saturday August 16, there was a party on the VHM campus that included food, games, music, face painting! Children got health checks and their hair trimmed and picked up some needed clothing items. Book bags were lovingly packed with age appropriate supplies and given each child.

The Body of Christ was active and moving at VHM that day. We had a blast sharing Christ's love with the children of the New River Valley. And we like to think they had some good times too!

Valley Harvest Ministries offers the hugely popular Evangelism Explosion courses that originated at Coral Ridge Church under the leadership of Dr. James Kennedy. We have three trained and certified instructors at VHM.

Missions
Missions Department
The VHM Missions Director is Edmond Kirtner. On an average month, between $500.00 and $1000.00 is collected and disbursed to missionaries in several parts of the world. Our primary support goes to Asia where Jeff and Verna Wilhoite, missionaries from our local church, serve as Regional Missions Coordinators. In recent years we have provided funds for several projects and partnered to extend ministry to the Asian people. Our congregation drilled a well at an orphanage, provided a laptop for a local pastor, and just last year we purchased a new truck for a Cambodian pastor who desperately needed dependable transportation. Pastor Steve has traveled to Thailand and Cambodia twice in recent years on Missions trips. Another church building project is being planned for Spring 2009 when members from VHM will travel to Cambodia to build a church on land that we purchased for a Pentecostal Holiness Church to be raised up in that area. In addition to these projects, several members support children on a monthly basis to provide their basic needs.
